Pizza is a popular Italian delicacy that has made its way to the hearts and stomachs of people worldwide. It is incredibly delicious, easy to make, and versatile enough to play around with a variety of toppings and exciting new flavors. Here's a short list of some of the best pizza varieties that you should taste at least once in your lifetime.
Nothing beats the classic Margherita pizza when it comes to Italian delicacies. This pizza is simple yet flavorful, featuring homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, and olive oil – all the classic Italian ingredients. This pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven, which gives the base a crisp edge while the toppings remain juicy and chewy, making every bite a delicious experience.
If you're in search of a simple, light, and flavor-packed pizza, try the pizza bianca. This pizza is a white pizza with no tomato sauce but topped with fresh mozzarella, olive oil, and a blend of spices such as rosemary, garlic, and sage. It is relatively low in calories as the base is made with a thin sheet of pizza dough brushed with olive oil.
A Capricciosa is a pizza that has multiple toppings for those who want a combination of flavors in a single slice. Toppings include ham, mushrooms, olives, artichokes, and sometimes eggs - with mozzarella cheese on top, of course. This pizza has a well-balanced flavor and is a perfect dinner choice.
If you are a bread lover, give Focaccia pizza a try. Focaccia is a classic Italian bread that is prepared with olive oil, water, flour, salt, and yeast. The pizza is made by adding tomato sauce and toppings to the bread before baking. It has a thick structure and a tender, porous interior with a crispy crust.
For those looking for a twist on the classic pizza, try Calzone. This pizza is folded and baked with a filling of mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and other toppings like meats and vegetables. When cut, it releases steam and aroma, offering a unique eating experience.
With these pizza varieties, you have plenty of options to savor the best of Italy in a delicious and fun way. While some may prefer traditional classics like Margherita or Pizza Bianca, others may want to try a twist on the standard pizza, such as a Calzone. Regardless of your preference, there's bound to be an Italian pizza that will suit your taste buds.Share

Welcome to my website. My name is Joanne Taylor. My family and I love eating out at restaurants, but with there being five of us, it can get expensive. In order to be able to continue to indulge in the luxury of eating at restaurants, my husband and I have come up with ways to order and save money. We always thought that ordering kids meals for young children was the cheapest way to go. But we found in many cases, it’s less expensive to order one regular meal and let our two youngest children split it. We make use of coupons whenever possible, restaurant daily specials, early bird specials, and other money savers. I’m going to share some of the ways we’ve been creative in the hope that you will find some useful tips.
