Blanche was a lady who lived down the street from me who is in “The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame.” She taught me alot of Appalachian songs and gave me an appreciation for that form of music. She played the “clawhammer” style on banjo. To watch a documentary on Blanche click on this LINK
Sally Gibson
The guitar I play belonged to my grandfather. He named his guitar years before I ever started playing…”Sally Gibson.” He later gave me the guitar when I was 9 years old. I still call her Sally! It’s an LG 2 Gibson Guitar.
